１．Authorized　Activity　to　Engage　In
Activities　which　require　technology　and/or　knowledge　should　be　related　with　physical　science,　engineering　or　other　natural　science　fields.
Activities　described　as　above　should　be　performed　on　the　basis　of　a　contract　with　public　or　private　organizations　in　Japan.
Activities　authorized　for　Engineer　should　be　excepted　those　of　"Professor",　"Invester/Business　Manager",　"Medical　Services",　"Researcher",　"Instructor",　"Intra-company　Transferee"　and　"Entertainer".

２．Requirement　for　Status　of　Engineering
The　requirement　shown　as　follows　should　be　fulfilled　to　obtain　the　status　of　"Engineer".

（１）The　applicant　must　have　graduated　and/or　completed　a　course　at　a　college　or　acquired　equivalent　education　majoring　in　the　subject.
The　subject　described　as　above　is　relevant　to　the　skills　and/or　knowledge　necessary　for　performing　the　job　concerned　with.

Or,　the　applicant　must　have　at　least　10　years'　experience.
The　10　years　can　include　the　period　of　time　spent　studying　the　relevant　skills　and　knowledge　at　college,　"Koutousenmongakkou",　senior　high　school　and　the　latter　course　of　secondary　educational　school.
Or　that　can　include　the　period　of　time　during　a　specialized　course　of　study　at　an　advanced　vocational　school.　("Senshugakkou")

（２）The　applicant　should　be　paid　no　less　salary　than　that　of　Japanese　citizen　for　comparable　work.

Remark)
About　described　requirement　in　item　1　as　above,　the　applicant　need　not　be　fulfilled　at　the　case　shown　as　follows.

The　applicant　is　to　engage　in　a　work　that　requires　skills　and/or　knowledge　concerning　information　processing,　and　passed　the　examination　on　information　processing　skills　that　is　designated　by　the　Minister　of　Justice　in　the　Official　Gazette.

Or　the　applicant　has　obtained　the　qualification　on　information　processing　skills　that　is　designated　by　Minister　of　Justice　in　the　Official　Gazette.
